LAUNCHING IN THE FALL OF 2008 & SPRING OF 2009 Therapy in Nature
|
Therapy
in Nature is a contemporary concept
and approach in psychotherapy
that takes clients out of the
treatment room and into nature.
Instead of engaging in a therapeutic
dialogue whilst sitting "on the
couch, clients and therapists
engage in a process of "walking
and talking", or "hiking and talking".
Within the context of the therapeutic
relationship, client and therapist
engage in a movement activity
and authentic dialogue. The intent
is to give the individual a more
expansive and active experience
in which to deepen understanding
and insight into the Self, to
further open potential for growth
and to make positive behavioral
choices that lead to health and
happiness.
